URBAN HEALTH PLAN:
KNOW THE RED FLAGS
Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a critical public health issue that profoundly impacts health, opportunities, and well-being. It transcends demographics, affecting individuals regardless of race, gender, economic status, or sexual orientation. To address this urgent matter, the Know the Red Flags campaign was launched in collaboration with Urban Health Plan.
Timed with October's Domestic Violence Awareness Month, this bilingual campaign aimed to raise awareness about IPV throughout New York City. With earnest and approachable branding, it sought to reach a diverse audience, conveying the message that emotional and physical signs of abuse are never normal. The multimedia campaign employed a full-suite digital strategy alongside LinkNYC screens to showcase various IPV warning signs, ensuring the message resonated across cultures, ages, genders, and sexual orientations. Every New Yorker has the right to feel safe in their relationships—intimate partner violence is NOT a part of love. The campaign successfully engaged the community, highlighting the importance of addressing this vital issue.
